Our take on forgotten skills of the kitchen involve a commitment to getting the best out of our produce with classic techniques like Slow cooked lamb ragout, cured ocean trout and slow cooked confit of duck.  Head Chef David is passionate about bringing to the table the best expression of these techniques possible.

OUR INSPIRATION

Kantine’s head chef David uses local Australian produce and ingredients to create a dynamic and seasonally driven menu influenced by owner Christian’s established European flavour. Plating up mouth-watering 3-course dinners, there is nothing we don’t excel in to satisfy ALL your tastebuds.

WINE

We have sourced some of the very best prestige selected bio-dynamic, organic and sustainable wines from Australia and New Zealand. Selected by our in house sommelier Jaap Sonnemans, our unique wine list compliments the nature of the cuisine.

Our selection will continuously change with our seasonable food menus; from the classically recognised to the weird and wonderful, we boast a showcase of wines produced by our top hand-selected grape growers and wine makers. We are slowly working on a reserve wine list to indulge our most regular patrons even more.
